ProWritingAid: Professional Editing Tool for Your Novel

Over a year and a half ago, I discovered the writing tool that makes your editor obsolete. The tool is still available today and just as useful as it was back in 2016. It’s called Pro Writing Aid. If you’re already using Grammarly, you may think you don’t need this. But ProWritingAid is so much more than a spell and grammar checker.

As I explained in my previous post, here are some of the things ProWritingAid looks for:

  • Overused words

  • Passive verbs

  • Excessive use of adverbs

  • Excessive sentence length

  • Vague words

  • Repeated phrases

  • Spelling and hyphenation consistency

  • Alliterations

It can be a little intimidating when you first use it, but it’s an extremely useful tool and will certainly improve your writing. And the best part is that you can use it in conjunction with Novelize! If you have a ProWritingAid subscription or a lifetime account, you can edit where you write by using their Chrome extension. Give Pro Writing Aid a try and let us know what you think about it!
